Mike Rose
Vice President of Operations
Esterra Development LLC
Mike Rose is the vice president of operations for Esterra Development LLC and manages all of the company’s project budgets, planning and development schedules and construction processes. He has more than 40 years of experience at the director and executive officer level of hospitality and retail development for domestic and international companies. Having completed more than 6,000 projects for major corporations and entrepreneurs, primarily in the restaurant marketplace, he brings a variety of assets to Esterra Development’s fast-growing real estate portfolio.
Mr. Rose’s responsibilities include creating the systems and management responsibilities for Esterra’s various commercial properties under development. He also plays a key role in analyzing and acquiring new real estate projects for the company and its investors. Over the past year, Rose has overseen the build out for the company’s flagship mixed-use commercial property, Bell Mar in Surprise, Ariz. He is currently preparing for tenant selection at the property, which is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2008.
By working with Esterra Development founder and president Gary Arnold, Rose has completed the transition from corporate development officer to starting and expanding a successful construction management company that provides entrepreneurs with the necessary resources in all of the development disciplines, including market analysis, financing, business planning and real estate acquisition, that are often only accessible by major companies.
Mr. Rose is also an independent project manager with REX Development Group, Inc. He has managed the hospitality and commercial real estate development in the Phoenix area since 1982 and relocated to Scottsdale in 2000. Prior to joining Esterra Development, Rose held executive management positions in construction and development at numerous companies, including National Fast Food, IDQ, Sambo’s, General Mills Restaurant Group, Willingham Construction and Development and IHOP.
Mr. Rose, who attended Ohio State University, serves as an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the nation’s leading organization for industry executives.
