More Than Three Coins....

The water feature at Bell Mar, the upscale boutique retail center that broke ground in Surprise in mid-February, will be much more than a conventional fountain- and it should, at a cost of $1 million.

The circular pool, 40-feet wide and 50-feet tall, has a sailing motif and stainless steel spillways. It is the artistic brainchild of Phoenix-based Aquatec Fountains.

The technology for the jets that will create a symphony of water, music and color is being imported from Oase in Germany. Killer Shade, also a Phoenix firm, is creating the mast and sails.

Esterra Development LLC of Scottsdale is the developer of the 73,000-square-foot retail center that will include 18,000 square feet of chick office space.
